Head of Department and Bernadotte Scholarship Ceremony

So on June 2nd I was officially handed the Bernadotte Programme research scholarship from H.M. the King in a ceremony in the Bernadotte library at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. I had great conversations of art and music with Ann-Sofi Noring (she has long been part of Swedish contemporary art leadership, e.g. as Co-Director of Moderna Museet) and Christine Ödlund (great artist with an interest in interdisciplinary art), among others.

I was also appointed new head of the Department for Composition, Conducting  and Music Theory at KMH, starting in July. Looking forward to taking on new responsibilities and hopefully fidning time to do my planned research on graphic notation for which I received the scholarship.

I have the first part of the project already planned out, it will be an attempt at a holistic approach to the world of graphic notation, discussing its nature and morphology as well as its interpretation.
